Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration 2019 Recap

On Monday, September 23rd, Gloucester Township celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month 2019 by honoring outstanding Latino members of our community.

This year Mayor David Mayer, Assemblywoman Gabriela Mosquera, and Council congratulated 9 exemplary citizens of Gloucester Township who have demonstrated significant contributions in the area of community service, personal or professional achievements, or general good deeds benefiting our community: Isabelle Reyes-Pitock, Valeria Rengel, Santiago Gonazlez, Dr. Luis F. Amberths, Jr., Hector Rodriquez, Ramon Evangelista, Juan Lara, Sam Sweet, and Sara Salazar.

“Congratulations to the honorees; it is because of you this township is great. Keep working hard. This country gives us an amazing opportunity to be who we want to be; so dream big and achieve every single goal that you have set for yourself!” said Assemblywoman Gabriela Mosquera.

“Here in Gloucester Township we celebrate our differences. We embrace those differences. Here in Gloucester Township every family is welcome. I thank all of you for being great examples and role models for this community. Thanks for paving the way for our young people and contributions that you have made to our community, “ said Mayor Mayer.
