The Township of Gloucester is proposing to apply for Green Acres funding to construct a Jake’s Law All-Inclusive Playground at Valleybrook Sports Complex in compliance with NJ Department of Community Affairs Rules for Completely Inclusive Playgrounds.

PROPOSED INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND AT VALLEYBROOK SPORTS COMPLEX
PURPOSE: The Township of Gloucester is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Valleybrook Sports Complex, located at 247 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012, at the intersection of Golfview Drive and Little Gloucester Road, in Blackwood.
PROJECT SCOPE: The Township of Gloucester proposes to create the following new facility at Valleybrook Sports Complex: a Jake’s Law Playground. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found here (Zip file, 5mb)
PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in-person in Township Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 1261 Chews Landing Road, Laurel Springs, NJ 08021.
