Winter 2020 Program Registration Information
January 2 Program Registration for Residents
January 8 Program Registration for Non-Residents
Registration for programs are held at the Recreation Center beginning at 8am and will continue until the program or trip reaches capacity.
Space is limited for all programs and trips. In-person registration is required for all activities. Registration forms must be filled out by the participant or parent/guardian.
All programs require advanced registration. We accept cash, money order or check only. Make checks payable to “Twp. of Gloucester” except where otherwise noted; two separate checks may be necessary.
Bring a valid drivers license or proof of residency to registration to receive resident rate. Preschool registration also requires a photocopy of the child’s birth certificate & medical records.
Full refunds will be given if we cancel a trip or program due to low enrollment. We reserve the right to cancel a trip or program if enough people have not registered in advance.
Program refunds will be given minus a $10.00 processing fee. This refund must be requested before 20% of the scheduled classes are completed. Please bring your receipt to the office for processing. All refunds take 30-45 days to process.
WINTER 2020 YOUTH PROGRAMS
KIDS’ CUPCAKE WARS
Mondays: January 13; Last Class February 17 | 6 Weeks
6:00pm – 7:30pm Held at Chews UMC in Glendora
Cost: $110. to Yellow House Herbs/$10. to Glo. Twp.
Join us in this 6 week class to learn basic pastry baking and decorating. The class will culminate in a cupcake war that will be judged by an independent taste tester! Baking techniques and skills will be honed, as well as learning the nutritional aspects of baking. There will be a few gluten-free baking options as well. All materials, supplies included. Ages 8+. Under 8 ok with a parent.
KIDS’ INTERNATIONAL COOKING
Mondays: March 2; Last Class April 6 | 6 Weeks
6:00pm – 7:30pm Held at Chews UMC in Glendora
$125 to Yellow House Herbs/$10. to Glo. Twp.
Your child will learn about international cuisine, spices, and herbs, through a variety of recipes that allow them to use their imagination based on what they learn! Safe cooking practices and skills will be taught as well. Over the course of 6 weeks, we will travel across the globe with food as our guide! All materials, supplies included. Ages 8+. Under 8 ok with a parent.
Thursdays: January 23; Last class March 5 | 7 Weeks
Cost: $84 to Soccer Shots/$10 to Glo. Twp.
Soccer Shots is a national leader in youth soccer development for young children. Our program has been created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players and experienced coaches. Using creative and age appropriate curricula and infusing each lesson with enthusiasm and structured activity, soccer shots aims to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child.

Classic Program Ages 3-4 | 6:40 – 7:10pm
Fridays: January 24; Last Class March 13 | 8 weeks
10am-12 noon Held at Point Ariel Park
Cost: $115 to Amy Mazakas/$10. to Glo. Twp.
Designed for children 3 1/2-5 years old. This class will focus on your child’s creativity through a variety of crafts, music and play. This class is based on engaging your child in fun and creative ways of learning. Each week is a new and exciting theme to explore. Children must be potty-trained and bring a snack.
KIDDING AROUND YOGA with Marie
Fridays: January 24; Last class February 28 | 6 weeks
4:45pm – 5:45pm Held at Still Point Yoga Center
Cost: $45 to Still Point Yoga Center/$10 to Glo. Twp.
This yoga class is designed for kids to learn yoga in a playful way that fosters creativity and builds confidence, focus, and cooperation. Children will learn yoga poses, sing songs, listen to stories, and relax together, mastering the art of being a kid, in this uplifting, non competitive and fun environment. Studio supplies mats. Open to children ages 4-12.
Saturdays: September 28; Last class October 26 | 5 Weeks
10am – 11:45am Held at GT Community Park
Cost: $75. to Ron Miller/$10 to GT
This format of kid-sized 10-and-under Tennis promotes quick success and lots of fun on the court. Through enjoyable activities and skill-based play, participants get an introduction to strokes, terms, movement and scoring. Instructional games, scaled-down courts and nets, and youth racquets and balls are all designed for the size of a young child. Parents are encouraged to participate in family-friendly weekly activities. Pre-registration available online at www.gottaplaytennis.net. Final class provides opportunity to participate in RED BALL Team Challenge & Pizza Party (at additional cost). All equipment is provided. Bring your own water bottle. Open to children ages 5-10. Limited to 24 students. No class 10/6. (SPECIAL 2nd CHILD DISCOUNT: 2 students for $140 to instructor).
