Winter 2019 Program Registration Information

January 2: Program Registration for Residents
January 7: Program Registration for Non-Residents

Space is limited for all programs and trips. In-person registration is required for all activities. Registration forms must be filled out by the participant or parent/guardian. All programs require advanced registration. We accept cash, money order or check only. Make checks payable to “Twp. of Gloucester” except where otherwise noted; two separate checks may be necessary.

Bring a valid drivers license or proof of residency to registration to receive resident rate. Preschool registration also requires a photocopy of the child’s birth certificate & medical records.

Full refunds will be given if we cancel a trip or program due to low enrollment. We reserve the right to cancel a trip or program if enough people have not registered in advance.

Program refunds will be given minus a $10.00 processing fee. This refund must be requested before 20% of the scheduled classes are completed. Please bring your receipt to the office for processing. All refunds take 30-45 days to process.

Residents can begin registering on January 2 and non-residents begin on January 7. Non-Residents can register for all Recreation Dept. Programs for an additional $10 fee. Mondays: January 21; Last Class February 25 | 6 Weeks
6:00pm – 7:00pm Held at Chews UMC
Cost: $100. to Yellow House Herbs/$10. to Glo. Twp

We will be exploring pioneer crafts and cooking using the Little House on the Prairie Books as our inspiration. The children will be learning different old world skills and creating several pioneer crafts and recipes, including fabric work, candle-making, toys, games, and treats. All materials, supplies, and instruction included in cost of the class. Ages 8 and up. Taught by a Master Herbalist from Yellow House Herbs and Dragonfly Herb Farm.
Wednesdays: January 30; Last Class March 6 | 6 Weeks
5:30pm – 6:30pm Held at GT Recreation Center
Cost: $50 to Desi Sergi/$10. to Glo. Twp.

All ability levels welcome! Just starting out, looking to perfect or learn how to do an ariel, tuk, walk over, handstand, cartwheel, etc.). This class focuses on motor skills, balance and basic fundamentals of tumbling for young athletes. Class taught to the individual. Whether you are new to tumbling or have some advanced fundamental skills your child will learn at their own pace, without feeling overwhelmed. Children will learn a choreographed routine to perform on the last day of class. Open to ages 4-11.
Wednesdays: March 13; Last Class April 17 | 6 Weeks
5:30pm – 6:30pm Held at GT Recreation Center
Cost: $50 to Desi Sergi/$10. to Glo. Twp.

All ability levels welcome! No prior tumbling or hip hop experience is required. Tumblers will learn the proper technique and execution of forwards rolls, bridges, cartwheels, in addition to walk overs and handsprings! This class will also enjoy learning basic hip hop moves and rhythm through dance exploration using today’s greatest hits and upbeat age appropriate music. Open to ages 4-11.
Thursdays: January 24; Last class February 28 | 6 Weeks
Parent & Me Mini Program | Ages 2-3 | 6:00 – 6:30pm
Classic Program | Ages 3-4 | 6:40 – 7:10pm
Cost: $72 to Soccer Shots/$10 to Glo. Twp.
Held at Rec Center

Soccer Shots is a national leader in youth soccer development for young children. Our program has been created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players and experienced coaches. Our lesson plans are developmentally appropriate and tailored specifically to the age groups we teach. Using these creative and age appropriate curricula and infusing each lesson with enthusiasm and structured activity, soccer shots aims to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child.
Fridays: January 25; Last Class March 22 | 8 Weeks
10am-12 noon Held at Point Ariel Park
Cost: $115 to Amy Mazakas/$10. to Glo. Twp.

Designed for children 3 1/2-5 years old. This class will focus on your child’s creativity through a variety of crafts, music and play. This class is based on engaging your child in fun and creative ways of learning. Each week there will be a new and exciting theme to explore. Children must be potty-trained. Please provide a snack. No class 2/15.
Fridays: January 25; Last class March 1 | 6 Weeks
4:45 – 5:45pm Held at Still Point Yoga Center
Cost: $45 to Still Point Yoga Center/$10 to Glo. Twp.

This yoga class is designed for kids to learn yoga in a playful way that fosters creativity and builds confidence, focus, and cooperation. Children will learn yoga poses, sing songs, listen to stories, and relax together, mastering the art of being a kid, in this uplifting, non-competitive and fun environment. Studio supplies mats. Open to children ages 4-12.
