The Rec Center does accept in-person registration during business hours. Cash, check, and credit/debit cards will be accepted in-person (the processing fee will still apply for cards). Surge Amp Running Program
This program is designed for ALL fitness levels. If your new to running and looking to get in shape with a goal in mind whether it’s a mile long run or a 5k this class is just what you need to amp your fitness level. It will help you gain strength, knowledge, build endurance, and give you the cardiovascular training needed to achieve your goals. However, If you’re an experienced runner pursuing more than a 5k goal or working toward a marathon you will gain and achieve better agility, speed, distance performance, as well as gain tips to encourage one of your greatest successes in fitness. Challenge your mind as well as your abilities. Come out, Amp your fitness level and give your life the power surge it deserves to stay heart healthy.

Fit Happens with Chrissy
Work smarter, not harder. Strengthen, tone and increase your cardio ability in this class that works you whether you’re a beginner or expert. All that is needed is a mat, light to medium hand weights and water. All fitness levels welcome.

Zumba
Zumba infuses hypnotic musical rhythms & tantalizing moves to create a dynamic workout system designed to be FUN & EASY to do! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast & slow rhythms & resistance training are combined to tone your body while burning fat. Good for all fitness levels. Bring water & a towel.

Pilates Barre
Come enjoy a wonderful workout out with Pilates Barre. It is a combination of ballet and pilates using a chair as a barre and then your mat for the floor series including pilates abdominal work. A little over half of class will be a standing workout with remainder on the floor. Light weights will be needed as there is some strength training involved. Handled tubing and resistance bands will be provided by me. This is a wonderful workout for all ages and is all level. I can help modify certain moves to help you get the best possible workout. Weights should be 3 lbs maximum.

Total Body Toning
Join us for a low impact warm up followed by full body work out using a variety of bootcamp, HIIT drills and the famous Alx’s 3 1’s for a full body workout. So let’s get ready for summer and start moving! Open to HS students and adult. Please bring water, 3-5lb weights and a mat. Wear good sneakers. Classes held outdoors weather permitting.

Let’s Learn to Sew
This is a fun supported beginner sewing class where you will learn basic sewing techniques and complete a variety of fun sewing projects. This class is an opportunity for you to learn and expand your sewing skills as well as encorages creativity and will help you develop life skills such as patience, percision, and problem-solving. No experience is necessary just bring yourself and your sewing machine! Machine available for rent.

Learn to Play Mah Jongg
Come learn and try to master the ancient tile game of Mah Jongg. If you like playing cards and board games, then you will love this challenging game. (This is not the tile-matching game found online.) Fun for all members of the family, learn along with your children so you can play together. No experience is required. Learn to play the National Mah Jongg League rules. ($15 book fee) Open to adults and children ages 10+

Still Point Classes

Yoga for Weight loss
Yoga supports balancing the body on all levels. This class will focus on specific yoga poses and breath work aimed to increase the metabolism and calm the nervous system to guide and assist the body to its natural weight. Leave feeling well, renewed, relaxed and balanced. No yoga experience needed. Wear comfortable clothing bring your own mat, towel, water.

Yoga for Us- 55 Plus
Leave your worries behind; you CAN do yoga. Stretch and wake up tired muscles, learn to breathe more effectively and to relax more deeply. This is a gentle Hatha yoga class done on yoga mats. Designed for the mature adult with average mobility it features seated, standing and floor postures. Wear clothes that allow ease of movement. Still Point provides mats and props.

Chair Yoga
This class offers all of the benefits of regular yoga without having to get onto the floor. Using a chair for support while learning a pose enables you to practice yoga safely and with confidence. This class will encourage the body to regain and build flexibility, stamina and balance. No yoga experience needed. Wear comfortable clothing bring your own mat, towel, and water.

Wednesday Evening Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga
A slower paced, yet challenging class, where students will be led through a series of yoga poses, linking breath with movement. We will focus on alignment, strength, balance and flexibility. The student will achieve an increased sense of calmness of body and mind through this practice. Everybody welcome! No yoga experience needed. Wear comfortable clothing and bring your own mat, towel and water.

Morning Yoga – Take Care Of You
A slow flow yoga class. Coordinating breath and movement. Stretching and strengthening your body and mind. This morning practice does not require any previous yoga experience. Yoga is a practice and does not have to be perfect. Come as you are. All are welcome. Wear comfortable clothing bring your own mat, towel and water. No yoga experience needed.

Active Yoga Flow – An Hour to Empower
Movement is medicine and Yoga is an excellent tool for Empowerment. It requires us to press the pause button and connect with the Mind, Body & Spirit feeling what is happening in the moment. Come see how a yoga can turn your weaknesses, discomfort, and doubt into strength, release, and confidence. This class is open to all levels of practice.

Beginners Gentle Morning Yoga
A beginner’s level yoga class. Learn the foundations of yoga: breathing techniques, postural alignment and how to be more present to you mind, body and spirit. Building strength and balance creating a solid foundation that is rooted in good alignment, body awareness, breath and heart. Your body/mind will feel renewed and balanced. No yoga experience needed.
