Gloucester Township Recreation Department is excited to announce we will be offering youth and adult programs this summer! Registration will begin May 18th for residents and May 20th for non-residents. Continue to check back as we will be adding classes over the summer!

We will be using CommunityPass, an online registration system with convenient 24/7 access to registration for all of the programs at the Gloucester Township Recreation Center. Simply click the link below, sign up, and enjoy the convenience of online registration. With CommunityPass there will be no more waiting in lines! It is not only easy to use, but also secure. CommunityPass accepts debit and credit cards: Visa and Mastercard (please note that a separate 2.9% processing fee will be added). The Rec Center will still hold in-person registration by appointment only. Cash, check, and credit/debit cards will be accepted during in-person registration (the processing fee will still apply for cards).

ADULT PROGRAMS

Non-Residents can now register for all Recreation Dept. Programs for an additional $10 fee.

Mondays

SURGE AMP RUNNING
Cost: $90| Held at GT Community Park
Mondays/Wednesdays: June 7-August 18 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

This program is designed for ALL fitness levels. If your new to running and looking to get in shape with a goal in mind whether it’s a mile long run or a 5k this class is just what you need to amp your fitness level. It will help you gain strength, knowledge, build endurance, and give you the cardiovascular training needed to achieve your goals. However, If you’re an experienced runner pursuing more than a 5k goal or working toward a marathon you will gain and achieve better agility, speed, distance performance, as well as gain tips to encourage one of your greatest successes in fitness. Challenge your mind as well as your abilities. Come out, Amp your fitness level and give your life the power surge it deserves to stay heart healthy.

 

POP MIXX FITNESS
Cost: $80 | Virtual Class via Zoom
Mondays/Wednesdays: June 14-August 18 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Instructor: Desi Sergi

Pop Mixx Fitness is a high energy class incorporating Hip Hop, Bollywood, Boxing, Strength, and Conditioning. Designed for all fitness levels. It is sure to burn calories, tone, strengthen, and boost your confidence all while having fun! Private Zoom link will be sent once registered.

 

PILATES CORE PLUS TONING
Cost: $60 | In Person or Zoom | Held at Point Aerial Park
Mondays: June 7-July 12 6:15pm-7:15pm
Instructor: Alx Davis

Pilates class focusing on the core work to tighten and tone and also legs. Feel yourself lengthen and strengthen with each workout for an all over great feeling. Bring light weights to add to your toning experience. Bring a mat, light weights at no more than 3 lbs and water. High school and older. All fitness levels class.

MORNING YOGA

Stretch and strengthen your body and mind in this morning yoga practice ending with guided relaxation/meditation. Open and strengthen your body into right action. TOTAL BODY TONING
Cost: $60 | Held at GT Community Park/Tennis Courts
Tuesdays: June 1-July 6 6:15 pm – 7:15 pm

Join us for a low impact warm up followed by full body work out using a variety of bootcamp, HIIT drills and the famous Alx’s 3 1’s for a full body workout. So let’s get ready for summer and start moving! Open to HS students and adult. Pleasse bring water, 3-5lb weights and a mat. Wear good sneakers.

CHAIR YOGA
Cost: $60 | 6 Weeks | Held at Still Point Yoga Center – Note: 7 Spots Available

This class offers all of the benefits of regular yoga without having to get onto the floor. Using a chair for support while learning a pose enables you to practice yoga safely and with confidence. This class will encourage the body to regain and build flexibility, stamina and balance. No yoga experience needed. Wear comfortable clothing bring your own mat, towel and water.

 
FIT HAPPENS WITH CHRISSY

BEGINNERS LEVEL YOGA

SUMMER BODIES
Cost: $60 | 5 Weeks | Held at Point Ariel Park

This class will have a little of everything. Cardio moves, total body toning, and ending with a mat workout for our pesky abs. This is definitely and all over body workout you don’t want to miss. Light weights, mat, good sneakers and water are a must. This class is for all fitness levels. High school and beyond.

 

ZUMBA
Cost: $50 | Held at Rec Center
Instructor: Sandy Kirkwood
Thursdays: June 3- July 8 6:30pm-7:30pm

Zumba infuses hypnotic musical rhythms & tantalizing moves to create a dynamic workout system designed to be FUN & EASY to do! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast & slow rhythms & resistance training are combined to tone your body while burning fat. Good for all fitness levels. Bring water & towel.
