2024 SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Open to Ages 3-8th Grade
Camps Offered:

  • PreK Camp at Lilley, Rec Center & Glendora
    o Ages 3-5
  • K3 Play Camp at Lilley, Blackwood & Glendora Schools
    o Grades K-3
  • Adventure Tween at Blackwood
    o Grades 4-5
  • Middle School at Rec Center
    o Grades 6-8
  • Nature at Ariel Park
    o Grades 1-4

*Grades are current 23/24 School year

June 24 – July 25
Monday – Thursday
9am-1pm

May 13 GT Resident Registration Begins

May 20 Non-Resident Registration
 
Register begins in-person or online at 8am. Register at https://register.communitypass.net/TownshipofGloucester or in-person at the Gloucester Township Recreation Center. All registrations will be processed through our CommunityPass website. Camp Cost:

Residents: $250.00 per child for all 5 weeks

Non-Residents: $310.00 per child for all 5 weeks

 


Summer Clinics at Timber Creek 2024

Cross Country Clinic
Instructor: Chris Grottini
Cost: Residents ($100) Non-Residents ($120)
Participants: Grades 6-8
Dates: July 8-11 | Times: 9AM-12PM

Whether new to the sport or a seasoned middle school veteran, camp participants will learn:
the importance of warming up and cooling down, healthy nutrition practices, practical training strategies/plan, strength and agility development and the importance of maintaining a positive attitude. At the end of the week, students will have experienced an introduction to cross country and the camaraderie that goes along with a shared experience. It is our hope to foster in all participants an appreciation for living a more fit lifestyle and a developing sense of accomplishment and confidence. Participants must have running shoes, water bottle, snack, and a towel. Min: 10 Participants.

Exploring Art
Instructor: Keith Kozak
Cost: Residents ($100), Non-Residents ($120)
Participants: Grades 6-8
Dates: July 15- July 18 | Times: 9AM-1PM
In this creative environment, students would get to experience different techniques, tools, technologies, and materials each day of the camp. Campers would be able to take home a portfolio of work at the end of the week demonstrating their new skills. Participants must bring a bagged lunch. Min. 10 Participants.


Passion for Fashion
Instructor: Rebecca Nash
Cost: Residents ($100), Non-Residents ($120)
Participants: Grades 6-8
Dates: July 22- July 25 | Times: 9AM-1PM
In this fashion camp, students will receive a blend of quality industry techniques and compelling projects. We’ve created activities and discussions that are relevant; and we’ll cover fashion trends, moodboarding, fashion illustration, design, and beginner sewing techniques.
Throughout the week, students will create a fashion portfolio to take home. Participants must bring a bagged lunch. Min 10. Participants


Course: Mini Tech Challenge
Instructor: Jack Campbell
Cost: Residents ($100), Non-Residents ($120)
Participants: Grades 6-8
Dates: July 29-August 1 | Times: 9AM-1PM

This camp offers a week of construction, testing, using technology, and competition! This STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Arts-Mathematics)- inspired opportunity combines academic excellence and engaging extracurricular activities with supportive guidance and supervision.. Students will gain valuable insight and practical tools that will better equip them to achieve their personal, educational and career goals. Participants must bring a bagged lunch. Min. 10 Participants


Course: School Survival Skills
Instructor: Brian Hansen
Cost: Residents ($100), Non-Residents ($120)
Participants: Grades 6-8
Dates: August 5- August 8 | Times: 9AM-1PM

In our School Survival Skills course, we will provide the foundation for students to “learn how to learn”. This course is dynamic and provides strategies to improve how they perform as a learner. Participants will be introduced to note-taking, study skills, time- management techniques & goal setting. Get charged up and sharpen your skills to start your school year off strong! Participants must bring a bagged lunch. Min. 10 Participants


Course: Video, Media, & E-Sports
Instructor: Bryan Dickerson
Cost: Residents ($100), Non-Residents ($120)
Participants: Grades 6-8
Dates: August 12-August 15 | Times: 9AM-1PM

The lights, camera, and action course would offer four major learning lessons within the four-day clinic. Day one would be commercial life, day two would be broadcast news/sports life, day three would be life through a camera lens and day four would be the life of an E-Sporter. Each day/topic would be heavily hands-on activity driven in providing the students with a glimpse and opportunity to engage in video production and Esports. Participants must bring a bagged lunch. Min. 10 Participants


Course: Theater Camp
Instructor: Jodi Zeichner
Cost: Residents ($100), Non-Residents ($120)
Participants: Grades 6-8
Dates: August 19- August 22 | Times: 9AM-1PM

This camp offers students the opportunity to explore hidden talents, improve communication skills and ignite their imagination. Through theater activities, campers learn improvisation, how to create a scene, singing, dancing and acting techniques. We will culminate the week with a performing arts showcase. Participants must bring a bagged lunch. Min. 10 Participants
