Public Input Sought: Improvements to Community Park – Green Acres Recreation Survey

PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS TO COMMUNITY PARK

PURPOSE: The Township of Gloucester is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Community Park, located at 300 Hickstown Road in Sicklerville, NJ 08081, at the intersection of Peter Cheeseman Road and Hickstown Road in Sicklerville.

PROJECT SCOPE: The Township of Gloucester proposes to make the following improvements at Community Park: replace an aging playground with a new multi-generational playground and a picnic shelter, along with related improvements. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found Here:

PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in-person in Township Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 1261 Chews Landing Road, Laurel Springs, NJ 08021.
