A Message From The Mayor

Mayor David Mayer

As we begin a brand new year, I’m excited to recognize not only the growth and development that lies ahead of us, but the tremendous opportunities for our residents to come together to continue making Gloucester Township a great place to live, work and play. I would like to thank all of the citizens who were honored at our second annual Citizen Appreciation Ceremony last fall and encourage others to join the movement to make a difference in Gloucester Township. This month we are proud to host our fourth annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service. This is a great opportunity to honor Dr. King’s legacy and uplift our community through service. I encourage you to visit us at glotwp.com to sign up for a volunteer activity that’s right for you.

In this upcoming year, I am also proud to announce that the Gloucester Police Department has been selected to host the 2016 United States Police Canine Association National Patrol Dog Trials. Approximately 150 Police K-9 teams from all over the country and Canada will come to Gloucester Township to vie for national certification of their K-9 partners and compete for individual awards. This will be an exciting event that will bring thousands of visitors to our community. For more information on how you can become involved and help make it a success please visit the National Trials page.

We have many exciting new events and endeavors planned for 2016. Please join us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google + to be the first to know about them. Thank you for helping to make Gloucester Township an exciting place to live, work and play!

Sincerely,

Dave Mayer
