In an effort to stop the abuse and diversion of prescription drugs, Gloucester Township residents are encouraged to dispose of their unused medications safely and securely at any time throughout the year using prescription drop off boxes provided by the township.
Residents can visit the drop off boxes seven days a week, to discard unneeded and expired medications – and keep them away from those at risk of abusing them. The first box is located by the Police Department’s Watch Desk Area. The second box is located on the municipal side of the building by the operator entrance.
The drop off boxes accept solid pharmaceuticals such as pills, capsules, patches, inhalers, and pet medications. They cannot accept inhalers, syringes or liquids.
