2016 Citizens Appreciation Ceremony Held in Gloucester Township

Gloucester Township’s Mayor David Mayer and Council recognized community volunteers at a special ceremony on Saturday, October 15th, at 10 a.m. The event took place at Gloucester Township Citizens Appreciation Park, which is located on the corner of 9th Avenue and Black Horse Pike in the Glendora section of the Township.

“This year I’m excited to add even more names to the Wall of Honor at Citizens Appreciation Park in Gloucester Township. Our community has become stronger and more united thanks to the selfless deeds of the residents who constantly volunteer. As a Mayor, I’m grateful to have these outstanding individuals reside in our township and thankful for all their hard work,” notes Mayor David R. Mayer.

Gloucester Township Citizens Appreciation Park is a place where the community comes together to pay tribute to outstanding resident volunteers. This year Mayor and Council honored almost one hundred individuals who had made a commitment to the betterment of Gloucester Township. Nominating organizations ranged from fire companies to elementary schools, to athletic associations and more.
